The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and the Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF) are pleased to announce the Research Symposium 2027, to be held from Wednesday 24 to Thursday 25 February 2027 at Hillstone St Lucia, Brisbane, Queensland.
The 2027 theme, Better together: Connecting people, ideas and research, celebrates the power of collaboration in emergency medicine research and the connections that move our field forward.
The two-day, in-person symposium is designed to foster collaboration and inspire excellence in research across emergency departments in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. It will provide a platform for established and emerging researchers to share their findings, connect with peers, and explore the ideas shaping the future of emergency medicine research.
Delegates can expect diverse and engaging sessions featuring expert speakers, updates on active clinical trials, and project presentations.
We welcome all members, trainees, nurses, paramedics, allied health professionals, retrieval specialists, researchers, research assistants, and the research-curious to join us for this dynamic and thought-provoking event, because we are better together.
ACEM acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of the lands across Australia on which our members live and work, and to their Elders, past and present. We pay respect to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the unceded land on which ACEM's office stands.
ACEM acknowledges Māori as tangata whenua and Treaty of Waitangi partners in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Everyone is welcome: ACEM is dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment that welcomes people with all physical and cognitive abilities and all neuroprocessing patterns, as well as individuals from all racial, ethnic, linguistic and national backgrounds, and with all sexualities, gender identities, ages, religions and educational and socioeconomic statuses.
